Vedanta Limited – a major pig iron producer in India, has increased its foundry grade pig iron offer by INR 1.500/t. The current offer for the same stands at INR 40,000/t FoR Ahmedabad, effective from 21 Feb’21, SteelMint gathered from sources. Tighter material availability and hike in offers by other private players has resulted in price hike. Vedanta has a pig iron production capacity of 0.83 mn t pa.
