Vedanta, a leading exporter of pig iron, has floated a 50,000 t export tender for Jun’22 shipment. The tender is due on 28 May, sources informed SteelMint. Pig iron prices in the domestic market are under pressure on falling steel prices and on weak global cues. India’s pig iron export shipments were recorded at 1.07 mnt in FY’22.
