Vedanta Aluminium has expanded its primary foundry alloy (PFA) capacity by 120,000 t per year at its Jharsuguda facility. As India’s first domestic PFA producer, Vedanta aims to meet growing demand from the automotive and electric vehicle (EV) industries. The upgrade, featuring advanced casting technologies, supports India’s shift towards lightweight, fuel-efficient vehicles and strengthens its role in the global aluminium value chain.
