A deal for 2,000 t of US 6900 NAR coal was heard at INR 15,500/t ex-Kandla compared to INR 15,700/t last week. A few traders were heard offering similar grade US coal at INR 15,000/t in the apprehension of a fall in global prices in the coming weeks. Thermal coal cargo arrivals from the USA at Kandla and Ennore ports are expected to reach 0.57 mn t between 16 Dec’21 and 2 Jan’22.
