Portside prices of US 6900 kcal/kg NAR coal rose by INR 500/t w-o-w to INR 21,100/t at Kandla Port amid low portside stocks and limited vessel arrivals from the country. As per CoalMint data, a total of 0.27 mnt of US coal was imported via by cement plants last week, while no major vessel is scheduled to arrive till 25 May’22. Cement and brick manufacturers are rebuilding stockpiles ahead of monsoon.
