India: US thermal coal portside prices rise by INR 400/t at Kandla

In a confirmed deal, 2,000 t of US 6900 NAR coal was sold at INR 15,700/t ex-Kandla compared to INR 15,300/t last week. Prices have edged up amid limited stock at ports and higher prices of imported US coal. Cargo arrivals from the country also remain slow at 0.44 mn t between 13-25 Dec’21, CoalMint data shows.
