India: UltraTech Cement invests INR 12.09 crore in wind energy project in Tamil Nadu

UltraTech will invest INR 12.09 crore to acquire a 13.99% stake in Fourth Partner Energy Limited (FPEL Services Pvt Ltd). Its subsidiary, India Cements, will invest INR 10.78 crore for a 12.48% stake. The investment is aimed at securing green power, reducing energy costs, and meeting captive power requirements. FPEL will supply 15.7 MW of captive wind power from its Karur, Tamil Nadu-based project to UltraTech’s cement plants.
