In a confirmed deal, 3,000 t of 6900 NAR U.S. coal was sold at INR 21,000/t ex-Kandla for Oct’21 delivery, whereas the same grade is being traded at INR 23,000/t for Dec delivery. Global thermal coal prices have shot up dramatically in the last one week amid severe coal shortage and escalating LNG prices.
