Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), a Vedanta Group company, has invited bids for the purchase of 500,000 MT Imported/Domestic Non-Coking Coal on ‘FOR’ Delivered basis to TSPL, Mansa, Punjab.
The Bidder shall ensure that its bid remains valid till 90 days from the date of price bid opening date.
The power utility has been progressively raising its intake of imported coal in order to blend it with domestic coal. As per the data provided by Power ministry, TSPL’s coal imports had increased by 29% Y-o-Y to 1.069 MnT in FY19.

Gross calorific value: 5,000-6,300 kcal/kg
Volatile matter: 28 – 38%
Ash: 8% – 18% max
Total moisture:15% – 28% max
Sulphur: 0.5% max
Delivery: The bidder shall ensure Dispatch of each lot of 10 rakes within 12 days till the completion of order quantity. Bidders to start the Dispatch within 14 days of tender opening date but not later than 7th July 2019 in any case.
Due date (IST): Due date of bid submission is 19 June’19 till 11:00 hrs and the techno-commercial opening is scheduled on the same day at 11:30 hrs.
