Indian HR plate prices (20-40 mm, Gr E250 Br.) fell by INR 900/t ($10/t) w-o-w to INR 61,900/t ($663/t) on 16 Apr’26, against INR 62,800/t ($673/t) last week. The w-o-w decline reflects slowdown in trading activity, with market participants adopting a cautious stance, even as material availability remained adequate. Prices are assessed ex-Mumbai at the distributor-to-dealer level, exclusive of 18% GST.
