India: Total ferrous scrap imports rise 94% m-o-m in Sept’22

India imported 1,058,447 t of total ferrous scrap in Sept’22, out of which 203,848 t was bulk scrap, as per Customs data maintained with SteelMint.
The US stood as the largest supplier at 126,255 t followed by the UAE at 111,346 t and the UK at 109,692 t.
Import volumes in Jan-Sept’22 stood at around 4.09 mnt compared to 2.88 mnt in CPLY.
