Thriveni Earthmovers P limited (TEMPL), a mine raising contractor, has recently initiated production at Singhbhum Minerals Company, located in Jharkhand.

Sources examining this matter, report that mines have an Environmental Clearance (EC) of 0.4 MnT which is expected to boost up to 1.5 MnT pa in FY15. The prices of Iron ore excavated from this mine are likely to be declared in this week.

Singhbhum Minerals Company is owned by Rathore family; however mining operations were previously taken care by Taurian Iron and Steel.

In current scenario, TEMPL is engaged as a mine raising contractor by seven lessees in Koenjhar district of Odisha.  The lessees are KJS Ahluwalia, Kalinga Mining Corporation, Indrani Patnaik, D R Patnaik, R P Sao, Serajuddin & Company and NKPK.

TEMPL is one of the top mining firms of India which was established two decades ago by Mr B. Prabhakaran. Company has interest in Coal mining as well.
