India: Tata Steel records highest-ever crude steel output at over 19 mnt in FY’22

Indian steel behemoth Tata Steel Limited (TSL) has reported best-ever crude steel output volumes at 19.06 mnt in FY’22. Ramp up in production alongside additions of new capacity during the year played a major role in boosting output. Meanwhile, higher export volumes this fiscal have pushed finished steel sales up 6% y-o-y, to 18.27 mnt despite disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
