India: Tata Steel Plans to Sell Manganese Ore Fines in the Domestic Market

Tata Steel is offering Manganese Ore Fines of grade 33-36% Mn content. This would be of use mostly to those Silico Manganese producers who require it to blend it with high-grade ores.

Ferro Alloys and Mineral Division of Tata Steel has sold over 70,000 MT of Mn ore fines to various leading Silico Manganese and Ferro Manganese producers in the State of West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.

In the view of bullish Manganese alloys market and demand of low-grade manganese ore in India, Tata Steel has decided to sell around 7,500 MT of Mn ore through mjunction services limited. It is understood that the sales will be through an online auction.
