T.V. Narendran, CEO and MD of Tata Steel Ltd, has assumed office as the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 2021-2022, as per latest reports. He takes over from Uday Kotak, Chairman of Kotak Mahindra Bank. Narendran was previously Chairman of CII’s Eastern Region and on the board of the World Steel Association. He was also the co-chair of the Mining & Metals Governors Council of the World Economic Forum from 2016-2018. Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman of Bajaj Finserv, is now the President designate of CII for the coming year.
