Tata Steel’s board of directors has approved the proposal to amalgamate its seven group companies with the parent company. This will enable the business to scale operations, improve profitability and drive synergies. These seven companies are Tata Steel Long Products, Tinplate Company of India, Tata Metaliks, TRF Limited, the Indian Steel & Wire Products, Tata Steel Mining and S&T Mining Company.
