- Tata Metaliks has raised pig iron prices by INR 2,500/t ($34/t), up to 6%.
- Fresh offers for foundry grade material are at INR 48,400/t and for basic grade at INR 45,300/t. Prices are exw-Kharagpur and applicable for the Kolkata and Howrah markets.
- The rise in prices is attributed to a hike in offers by private producers and bids at SAIL auctions following the spurt in coal, coke and steel prices.
