Tata Metaliks Ltd (TML) has raised its pig iron price by 7% i.e. INR 2,500/t. The fresh offer for foundry grade is reported at INR 42,000/t ($573) & basic grade (Si 1-1.5%) pig iron at INR 39,200/t ($535). The prices are ex-plant, Kharagpur, eastern India & are applicable for Kolkata & Howrah market. The company has raised prices following a sharp surge in steel and pig iron prices by the competitors in Eastern & Western India by around INR 1,000-3,000/t w-o-w, as per SteelMint’s assessment.
