Tata Metaliks has reduced basic grade pig iron prices by INR 1,500/t ($20/t) or 4% and fresh reported at INR 39,700/t. However, the company’s foundry grade offers stable at INR 44,200/t. Prices are exw-Kharagpur and applicable for the Kolkata and Howrah markets.
The pig iron prices remain under pressure on falling steel prices amidst sluggish trends globally.
