India surpasses FY’22 coal production in Apr’22-Feb’23

India’s coal production increased by 15% y-o-y to 784.4 mnt during Apr’22-Feb’23, surpassing FY’22 production of 777 mnt, as per the Ministry of Coal. Coal India’s production stood at 619.7 mnt during the same period, a 14.3% growth y-o-y. Meanwhile, captive coal blocks’ production has increased by 30% y-o-y to 104.6 mnt during Apr’22-Feb’23.
