In
conversation with a manufacturing unit based in Ghaziabad, Steelmint assessed
that structure prices have gone down by Rs 500/MT on relatively cheaper offers
from Raipur.
As
buying activities is low in Northern markets, prices of structure decreased
immediately by Rs 500/MT. Prices were firm from last two weeks. Last change was
seen on 26th July when prices dropped by Rs 200/MT. But at
this, time prices were down by Rs 500/Mt as selling pressure builds on
manufacturers.
Lower
offers from other states like Raipur and Mumbai pressurized Ghaziabad's
manufacturers to cut offers. Channel 200 of Raipur is being offered at Rs
34,100/MT (Delivered Ghaziabad, ED Extra). Whereas, Ghaziabad offers are at Rs
34,300/MT (ED and VAT Extra).
Market sources
mention that demand is likely to remain low in the coming weeks amid monsoons
and seasonal slowdown.
