Week 22 (started from 22 May) , started on quite positive note with the progressive hike in the prices over active trade activities in major places of the country.
There were good amount of inquiries which made the manufacturers and traders to increase their offers gradually.
The Structure (both light and heavy) Offers in Western Region like Ahmadabad and Mumbai showed some sign of improvement; by INR 300/MT each.
Central region, Raipur marked the sharp hike in the structure offers. For Light structure, offers increased by INR 800/MT & in Heavy it registered marginal hike of INR 200/MT (USD 3) with basic price at INR 28,000/MT; trade discount heard at INR 200/MT.
In Durgapur, Eastern Region for the week offers increase by INR 200-300/MT (USD 3-5). The prices gone up but the buyers not accepted it on prevailing bullish sentiments in the market amid thin trading activities.
Hyderabad, Southern Region witnessed the hike of INR 400/MT (USD 6) in line with the nominal improvement in trades.
Ghaziabad, Northern Region increased the heavy structure prices by INR 500/MT as amount of inquiry improved with the number of bookings.
Structure being fourth largest produced finish material in India with annual production of 7.90 MnT in FY 17 and majorly produced in Western and Central regions.
