Light & Medium Structure prices in Raipur and Mumbai have corrected by INR 400-800/MT amid lesser buying. While, Heavy Structure prices in Raipur have fallen by INR 600/MT.
At present, Light & Medium Structure prices in Raipur have fallen by INR 400/MT W-o-W amid low demand. Angle 25 is being offered at INR 34,800/MT ex-Raipur. Meanwhile, Heavy Structure prices have corrected by INR 600/MT and Beam 125 is offered at INR 34,300/MT ex-Raipur (advance payment). In last week, Heavy Structure manufacturers had raised their offers by INR 300/MT and now they have rolled back it.
Demand in central market remains firm for both Structure segment, but individual supplies to projects seem to be good. Semi finish (Ingot/Billet) prices in Raipur remain unchanged since last month, but it has declined by INR 500/MT since last two days.
A Structure manufacturer based in Raipur shared, “Supply of finished and semi finish products to other states like Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra (Vidharbh) has reduced on the backdrop of overloading issues. Both the states are major market for Chhattisgarh (Raipur).”
A trader based in Mumbai urged, “We have huge stock of material and still there is no increase in sales.”
Ahmedabad Structure prices fell by INR 500-700/MT W-o-W owing to falling raw material (Scrap) prices. Channel 75 is being offered at INR 33,500-33,700/MT (down by INR 500/MT W-o-W). While, Ingot prices have fallen by INR 900-1,000/MT W-o-W. Also, Scrap prices in Alang/Bhavnager have declined by INR 1,600/MT M-o-M.
