Heavy structural steel prices in Raipur have dropped INR 500/t today, as per reports. The current offer for 150mm channel stands at INR 52,500/t exw. Prices have fallen owing to dull demand during the festive season which increased selling pressure on mills. Moreover, a drop in raw material prices (sponge iron and billet) prompted manufacturers to reduce offer prices, market participants informed.
