India: Steel plants running at 40-50% capacity

Induction furnaces across India are running at 40-50% capacity due to poor demand in Steel and cheap imports from China.”Average steel production at Mandi Gobindgarh is 1,50,000 MT per month which at present is at 60,000 MTs said Mohinder Gupta”, President, Mini Steel Plant Association, Mandi Gobindgarh.
