India has started a sunset review investigation to continue imposing anti-dumping duty on steel wire rods imported from China, as per latest reports. The Indian Steel Association (ISA), on behalf of PSU steel majors RINL and SAIL, as well as private manufacturer JSW Steel, has raised concerns at the probability of recurrence of dumping if the existing anti-dumping duty is lifted at the end this year and has requested for continuation of the levy. Preliminary anti-dumping duties on steel wire rods from China were first imposed in 2016.
