India: Stainless steel scrap prices rise following global cues

  • SteelMint’s assessment of domestic stainless steel scrap prices of 304 grade moved up by INR 2,000/t to INR 124,000/t ($1,518/t) ex-Delhi today compared to 8 Nov’22.
  • The rise in international prices owing to strong procurement by Europe and China  also weighed on domestic prices.
  • Sources informed that deal for 304 grade has been concluded at $1,475-1485/t CFR Mundra and 316 was done at 2,575-2,580/t CFR Mundra today.
