India: Stainless steel scrap prices remain stable

  • In comparison to 13 December, SteelMint’s domestic stainless steel 304 scrap price assessment remained stable today at INR 140,000/t ($1,691/t) ex-Delhi. Meanwhile, overseas offers for 304 scrap were heard at CFR Mundra at around $1,610-30.
  • Induction-grade utensil scrap prices dropped significantly, now standing at INR 72,000/t ($), down INR 3,000/t from their previous level.
  • LME nickel prices remained largely stable d-o-d at $28,287/t.
