SteelMint’s assessment for domestic 304 grade stainless steel scrap prices fell by 3.2% to INR 122,000/t ($1,524/t) ex-Delhi today as against prices on 12 July. Slow demand and low import prices due to falling LME nickel prices pulled domestic scrap prices lower. Notably, LME nickel three-month futures dropped by $385/t to $21,150/t w-o-w.
