India: Stainless steel scrap imports rise 4%, m-o-m, in April

India imported 97,180 t of stainless steel scrap in April 2022, a marginal increase of 4% m-o-m as against 93,390 t in March.
USA was the largest exporter with 13,810 t followed by Thailand and Vietnam at 9,940 t and 9,100 t respectively.
Notably, India’s imports of stainless-steel scrap 304 grade decreased by 15% to 35,850 t in April from 42,220 t in March.
