India: Stainless steel output drops 6% m-o-m in Apr’22

India’s finished stainless steel production in Apr’22 was recorded at 0.221 mnt, down 6.36% m-o-m compared to 0.236 mnt in Mar’22, data maintained with SteelMint shows. However, cumulative production volume was up by 13% to 0.94 mnt (0.69 mnt Finished flat & 0.25 mn t Finished long) in Jan-Apr’22 as against 0.83 (0.62 mnt Finished flat & 0.21 mnt Finished long) in Jan-Apr’21.
