SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron, C-DRI (FeM 80%, mix material), stands at INR 31,950/t ($430/t) exw-Rourkela, down INR 50/t d-o-d. Around 5,920 t of deals were confirmed at INR 31,500-32,000/t exw. According to sources, many deals were concluded to Raigarh. Active demand and a slight increase in steel billet prices led to higher trade volumes, SteelMint notes.
