- Sponge iron (FeM 80%), prices fell by INR 100/t and 2,200 t deals were concluded between INR 30,000-30,100/t exw against offers at INR 30,200/t exw.
- Iron ore lump-based DRI (CDRI) prices dropped by INR 200/t. Around 1,400 t of deals were confirmed at INR 31,000/t exw.
- Softening steel prices resulted in slow buying enquiries for sponge iron, SteelMint noted.
