Sponge (PDRI ) prices in Bellary rose by INR 700/t, whereas CDRI prices increased by INR 500/t on 17 Feb’22.
- 3,100 t of PDRI deals were confirmed at INR 33,600-33,800/t against offers at INR 34,000/t exw.
- 1,800 t of CDRI deals were reported at INR 34,000-34,200/t ($453-456/t) exw.
- Rising billet prices and coal supply constraints at portside pushed up sponge iron prices.
