Sponge C-DRI (FeM 80%, mix material) prices in Odisha’s Rourkela are assessed at INR 32,000/t ($432) exw, up INR 300/t, d-o-d. Around 6,000 t of C-DRI deals were confirmed in the range of INR 31,800-32,200/t as against offers at INR 32,000-32,200/t exw. Sources informed that supply shortage along with moderate demand and a surge in billet prices by INR 400/t, d-o-d, have lifted sponge iron prices.
