SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron, P-DRI (FeM 80%), rose by INR 200/t to INR 27,000/t exw-Raipur. Prices climbed on rising bids, temporary supply issues along with market optimism around pellet export deals from the eastern region.
- 4,000 t of deals were confirmed at INR 26,800-27,000/t on exw and DAP basis. Although a few plants claimed deals happened at INR 27,200-27,300/t exw, these remained unconfirmed till the time of publication.
