SteelMint’s assessment for sponge C-DRI (70% lumps and 30% fines) in Odisha remained unchanged at INR 30,000/t exw-Rourkela on 22 Dec’21. Around 1,640 t of C-DRI deals were confirmed in the range of INR 29,700-30,000/t exw. According to sources, decent demand and rise in steel billet prices by INR 250/t today, kept sponge prices supported.
