SteelMint’s assessment for sponge C-DRI (70% lumps & 30% fines) in Odisha remained unchanged at INR 32,450/t exw-Rourkela on 4 Jan’22. Around 2,100 t of C-DRI deals were confirmed in the range of INR 32,300-32,500/t exw. According to sources, a marginal decline of INR 250/t was reported in steel billet prices today. However, sponge prices remained supported amid active demand.
