Sponge iron, C-DRI (70% lumps & 30% fines), prices in Rourkela increased by INR 500/t to INR 30,600/t ($412/t) on 17 Nov’21. About 3,500 t of deals were confirmed at INR 30,300-30,800/t exw. A deal comprising 500 t of C-DRI lump of premium grade was also reported at INR 32,000/t exw. Rise in billet prices by INR 450/t, d-o-d, continued to support sponge iron prices.
