SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron, P-DRI (FeM 80%), rose by INR 1,000/t to INR 28,800/t exw-Raipur. Prices rose due to a sharp surge in billet offers. However, in terms of market dynamics, demand remained average.
- 4,000 t of P-DRI deals were reported at INR 28,500-28,900/t on exw and DAP basis. A few plants claimed that deals had been done at INR 29,000/t, although these could not be confirmed before publication.
