India’s sponge iron export offers rose sharply w-o-w on 2 Apr’26. Offers to Nepal increased by $16/t to $346/t CPT Raxaul and Bangladesh by $20/t to $359/t CPT Benapole, driven by elevated domestic sponge iron prices. However, demand and inquiries remained limited from both countries. Bookings for around 6,500 t of sponge iron were recorded from both destinations.
