BigMint’s weekly price assessment for sponge iron export offers shows significant decline of $15-21/t, reflecting limited buying demand in the global spot market w-o-w;

  • Nepal: Approximately 3,700 t of sponge iron deals were concluded in the range of $341-343/t CPT Raxaul.
  • Bangladesh: Export offers for Bangladesh dropped to $363/t CPT Benapole, amid limited buying due to ongoing disturbances influenced by microeconomic factors.
