India’s sponge iron export offers rose this week, with offers to Nepal increasing by $6/t to $354/t CPT Raxaul and to Bangladesh by $22/t reaching $363/t CPT Benapole. Despite the price hikes, demand and inquiries remained weak from both Nepal and Bangladesh. Limited deals concludes, with an approximately 4,000 t sponge iron deal heard for Bangladesh this week.
