BigMint’s weekly assessment indicated that sponge iron export offers inched up by $1-$3/t w-o-w. However, buying activity remained limited due to weak demand amid fall in the domestic offers this week. Prices are as follows:
- CPT Raxaul for FeM 80% (70:30 mix) at $410/t for Nepal, with approximately 1,500 t of sponge iron sold.
- CPT Benapole at $408/t for Bangladesh, with about 6,000 t directed towards this market.
