India’s sponge iron export market witnessed a mild improvement in booking activity this week, especially from Bangladesh. Deals for around 11,000 t were recorded.
- Nepal: Export offers edged up by $2/t w-o-w to $314/t CPT Raxaul. However, buying interest and inquiries from Nepal remained limited.
- Bangladesh: Offers rose by $4/t to $326/t CPT Benapole, supported by comparatively stronger demand and higher inquiries.
