Pellet-based sponge iron (P-DRI) prices in Bellary, Karnataka, remain stable at INR 33,500/t on 21 Feb’22, while iron ore-based DRI (C-DRI) prices increased by INR 200/t.
- 1,000 t of PDRI deals were confirmed at INR 33,500-33,600/t against offers at INR 33,700/t exw.
- 600 t of CDRI deals were reported at INR 34,000/t ($456/t) exw.
- Sponge iron demand fell on declining billet prices today, while trades slowed down in Maharashtra due to logistics issues.
