SteelMint’s assessment for sponge C-DRI (FeM 80%, mix material) stands at INR 30,000/t ($408) exw-Rourkela, up INR 200/t, d-o-d. Around 7,100 t of C-DRI deals were confirmed in the range of INR 29,700-30,000/t exw-Rourkela. Most of the deals concluded were for Muzaffarnagar and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. Sources said that demand remained active today as billet prices increased by INR 500/t on a daily basis supported by sponge iron prices.
