India: South African RB3 sold at INR 15,800/t at Vizag Port

In a confirmed deal, 2,000 t of South African RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was booked at INR 15,800/t at Vizag Port, while mid-CV RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) offers were at INR 18,500/t. Several sponge iron manufacturers eyed alternate coal sourcing from Mozambique and Russia amid elevated South African coal prices, market participants informed.
