Two Panamax vessels (75,000t) of South African RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal have been booked at $147/t FOB basis. With elevated high CV coal prices, sponge iron manufacturers have resorted to blend RB3 coal with other origins such as Mozambique and Russian. Portside prices of the grade were last assessed at INR 15,200/t at Vizag Port.
