S.African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal offers at Gangavaram rose slightly to INR 7,500/t today due to low stocks with major importers. While high freight rates deterred importers from making any bulk bookings, demand from sponge iron manufacturers remain muted. Offers in Mangalore were at INR 7,700/t, while stocks at Haldia, Vizag were heard to have been almost sold out.
